New Approaches to Methodology of Construction and Use of Synthetic Indicators

for Economic Tendencies Statistical Monitoring

The paper presents a short overview of composite indicators, which are used for economic tendencies monitoring, business-cycle determination, formation of short-term forecast of macroeconomic indicators, and designed on the conjuncture survey data. The author shows evolution of the economic sentiment indicator and its components – confidence indicators in sectors of economy, used by the EU Commission for macroeconomic analysis and forecasting. The system of indicators based on the Ukrainian consumer surveys are offered and their satisfactory quality shown.

Statistical Analysis of Groups of Enterprises in Agriculture of Ukraine

The article is devoted to the study of the role of separate groups of enterprises in agricultural statistics. In particular, the attention is given to the groups of enterprises with subdivisions engaged in hop-growing, vine growing, sugar beet growing, grain growing and pig-breeding. It is defined that the extension processes are characteristic both for plant growing and livestock-breeding. The accent is made on the necessity of methodological support development for statistics of groups of enterprises and carrying out further research of their activity.

Ukraine’s Black Economy by Main Economic Activities

The author proves the necessity of developing a scientifically grounded approach to quantitative measurement of the shadow economy value and payment for work by main economic activities of Ukraine. A macroeconomic approach is used for measurement of the shadow GDP and wage by the economic balance method based on optimal correlation of macrofactors in a Cobb-Douglas elasticity coefficient function, dependent on the Golden section law. Measurement of the shadow economy value by the main economic activities will give an opportunity to detect weak points in economic sectors and to work out the proper programs of socio-economic development.

Motivation of the Ukraine’s Pension Fund Investment

The article shows the current situation in the three-level pension insurance system in Ukraine, emphasizing the role of motivation in the increase of revenues to the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The author suggests a complex approach to solution of pension reforming problems by motivation of employers and employers. It will promote further legalization and increase in wages which are the basis for extra charge to pension dues. So, it will help to increase the PFU income and the pension rate accordingly.

Motivation as a Factor of Increase in Banking Efficiency

The paper presents the estimate of bank employee’s motivation, shows factors influencing it and offers a motivation concept based on philosophy of person’s priority and acknowledgement that employees are the main source of bank development. A dynamic model of payment for work is developed for a multi-branch bank. The author’s model is based on the dependence of the bank employee’s wage level on a branch performance. It encourages the personnel of the branch to increase productivity of labor in order to improve the financial results of a brunch and to achieve the higher level of payment for work.
