Problems of Using Statistical Information in Marketing Research

The article estimates the possibilities of using statistical information formed by state agencies with the State Statistics Committee at the head, for solving one of the main tasks of management in market economy – providing balance of market segments. It is proved that statistical information on the milk and diary products market of Ukraine does not allow getting the exhaustive and objective characteristic of market conditions.

Factor Analysis of Labor Productivity Based on Economic and Statistical Models

The paper is devoted to the use of economic and statistical models for carrying out factor analysis as a mean to find production reserves. The authors present methods for carrying out factor analysis of labor productivity based on an economic and statistical model (a correlation model is used). The methods were approbated while studying labor productivity at the open-end company “Vinnytsia Oil-and-Fat Industrial Complex”.

Problems of Estimation of the Level of Economic Development of Ukraine before Disintegration of the USSR

The article deals with the problems of creation of generalized estimates (indexes) of socio-economic development. On the example of methods for design of one of indexes the essential shortcomings of methodological tools for construction and use of these estimates were revealed and the proposition to switch to the analysis of dynamics of sets of “traditional” indicators was made. On this basis different estimates of Ukraine’s economy capacity for independent development after disintegration of the USSR are analyzed.

Estimating the Manpower Indicators by the Monthly Population Survey Data

The article presents main results of research of the problem related to reliability of monthly manpower indicators for the regional level based on the data of state sample survey of households as to their economic activity, carried out by the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine. The results of using a composition estimation method showed that as a whole the problem of reliability is being solved.
